It’s the holiday season, and you can share the spirit by participating in Be a Santa to a Senior service program. This signature gift-giving program helps brighten the lives of lonely or isolated seniors in Houston. In the last five years, 60,000 volunteers have delivered more than one million gifts to 660,000 seniors throughout the United States. That’s a lot of holiday cheer spread around the country!
Home Instead Senior Care partners with local non-profit groups such as Catholic Charities and Foster Grandparents of Harris County. Local organizations and businesses sponsor a tree with ornaments that outline seniors’ needs on the Be a Santa to a Senior ornament.
How can you participate in Be a Santa to a Senior?

- Select an ornament
- Purchase the gift
- Bring ornament and gift back to participating location and give to representative before the due date in early December.
- Volunteers collect, wrap, and deliver the gifts in time for Christmas!
